AXA PPP improves health insurance provision for cancer treatment
February 21, 2012
AXA PPP Healthcare has enhanced the cancer cover provided with its private medical insurance.
People with a private medical insurance policy from AXA PPP Healthcare can now benefit from enhanced cancer cover.
The insurer has made a number of enhancements to its cover and removed the 12-month time limit on its funding of chemotherapy and other cancer drugs.
Its private medical insurance policy also now covers palliative treatment, which helps to improve patients' quality of life.
AXA PPP says: "We also provide access to the very latest in treatment, drugs, agreed clinical trials, support and care for cancer."
Paul Davies, insurance analyst at Which?, commented: "It's good to see AXA following the lead of other insurers and offering higher levels of cancer cover for its private medical insurance customers."
He added that consumers should always check a policy's limitations and exclusions before signing up "as the terms and conditions of policies can vary considerably".
AXA PPP offers a wide range of health insurance plans, including private medical insurance, dental insurance, child medical insurance and cash plans.
