Private healthcare helps woman get spinal surgery

December 30, 2010

A woman has spoken about her positive experience with private healthcare.

A woman was thankful to private healthcare for allowing her to have the spinal surgery required.

The unnamed lady from Winwick told the Warrington Guardian that she had been unable to have the operation on the NHS when she needed it, a state of affairs which disappointed her.

She said she decided to seek out private healthcare as a result and was able to get a consultation within four days of phoning up to ask for one.

The swift response was followed by quick and efficient treatment for her condition.

"I had an MRI scan on the same day that I saw the consultant and was booked in for spinal surgery six days later," the lady explained.

Earlier this month, Ben Heffer, an insight analyst at Defaqto, told the Independent that people who are interested in taking a private medical insurance policy should shop around to try and find themselves the best deal possible.
