PruHealth partners with National Trust to promote walking
September 27, 2011
Health insurer PruHealth is promoting the health benefits of walking by teaming up with the National Trust for the 2011 Walking Festival.
Private health insurance provider PruHealth has linked up with the National Trust to promote the benefits of walking.
The insurer has been unveiled as the partner for the National Trust's first ever Walking Festival, which aims to inspire people to explore places on foot.
Walking is known to have proven health benefits, including improving wellbeing, giving people more energy, reducing stress and promoting sleep, maintaining heart health and weight management.
It is also a good, gentle introduction to exercise for those who are not used to physical activity.
Neville Koopowitz, chief executive officer at PruHealth, said that private health insurer was "very proud" to be involved with the Walking Festival, which will be held between October 22nd and 30th.
He commented: "As one of the UK's leading health insurers our core philosophy is to promote the awareness of leading a healthier life; our customers benefit directly as we offer incentives and rewards to customers who exercise regularly."
Mr Koopowitz added that the Walking Festival provides "a perfect way for people to enjoy themselves whilst exercising".
